On Friday, January 30, 2026, Reading, UK-based rising band, Only The Poets released their debut album And I’d Do it Again. Formed in 2017, the band are known for their confessional lyricism and emotive storytelling. The group is made up of Tommy Longhurst (lead vocals and guitar), Andrew “Andy/Roo” Burge (bass and vocals), Clam Cherry (guitar and vocals), and Marcus Yates (drums and vocals). They have built a loyal following through sold-out headline tours across Europe and the US, alongside support slots for artists such as YUNGBLUD, Bastille, and The Wombats.

The 14-track project explores themes of love, vulnerability, loss, mental health, and resilience, drawing directly from the band’s lived experiences. Rather than simple narratives, the songs feel raw and deeply personal. Their single “Thinking Bout Your Ex”, released on October 17, 2025, stands out as a woozy, cinematic track, blending spacious ’90s R&B-inspired textures with frontman Tommy Longhurst’s captivating vocal delivery.

Earlier this year, the band sold-out O2 Academy Brixton in just ten minutes, making headlines in the process with a historic £1 show. It ignited an important conversation about accessibility in live music, with proceeds from the show supporting the LIVE Trust, championing inclusivity across the UK’s live scene. This show will happen on February 2nd, followed by a few more events celebrating their album, including a special all-day ‘4 gigs at 4 pubs’ event in their hometown of Reading. The band will bring their trademark energy and heartfelt connection to a string of intimate venues and record stores, giving fans the chance to celebrate and connect in person.
