n Monday, February 23, 2026, NCT members JENO and JAEMIN officially teamed up for their first unit release as NCT JNJM with BOTH SIDES.
BOTH SIDES is a six-track mini album led by the title track “BOTH SIDES,” a song that highlights the dynamic contrasts between JENO and JAEMIN. While each member brings his own distinct charm and artistic identity, their decade-long friendship translates into undeniable chemistry throughout the project.
The mini album feels refreshing and intentional, offering a closer look at JENO and JAEMIN’s personal styles while seamlessly blending them into a cohesive unit sound.

Track 1: BOTH SIDES
“BOTH SIDES” is a glossy hip-hop dance track that blends punchy drum beats with sharp rap verses and witty vocal delivery. This song is charming and one that JENO and JAEMIN can showcase their charismatic side. This confident concept is amplified in the accompanying music video, where their contrasting energies and performance style fully come to life.

Track #2: I.D.O.L
“I.D.O.L” is a high-energy pop track infused with Miami bass elements and heavy 808s. The production leans into NCT’s signature experimental edge, giving both JENO and JAEMIN space to alternate between commanding rap sections and groovy melodic lines.
Lyrically, the track channels the bold confidence of an idol stepping onto the global stage while still maintaining an intimate connection with fans.
Track #3: What It Is
“What It Is” is a catchy, uptempo R&B track and it’s easily one of our favourite tracks on the mini album. The song highlights the duo’s natural charm, pairing smooth vocal runs with playful rhythmic delivery.
The lyrics capture the spark of subtle shared glances and lingering tension that slowly builds into undeniable attraction, making it one of the project’s most replay-worthy tracks.
Track #4: HASHTAG
“HASHTAG” draws inspiration from late-2000s Southern hip-hop, layered with low-register rap verses and sleek melodic transitions.
The lyrics address the countless labels and hashtags placed on JENO and JAEMIN, flipping outside commentary into a declaration of limitless charm and self-defined identity.
Track #5: WIND UP
“WIND UP” leans into baseball metaphors to deliver an empowering, bouncy hip-hop track driven by bold drums and bright horn arrangements.
The song feels celebratory as JENO and JAEMIN also starred in a short-form drama series of the same name leading up to the album’s release.
Track #6: sexier
Closing the mini album, “sexier” taps into hyperpop influences with synths and an addictive chorus. The production is playful and vibrant, with lyrics that capture the escalating tension and bold flirtation that unfold as two people are drawn to each other..
Across BOTH SIDES, NCT JNJM present a confident, cohesive and balanced artistic statement. The mini album captures their performance strengths while solidifying their potential as a sub-unit with a distinct identity.
