Kohai’s Mixtape 2025 Took Over Toronto!

By Brenessa Roach | December 9, 2025

On November 21, 2025, Kohai’s Mixtape 2025 lit up Toronto, transforming REBEL into a full-on mini-festival. The energy kicked off right at 8 PM as local DJ Mike Roc set the tone, spinning tracks that pulled the crowd straight into the night.

Seattle-born, LA-based Filipina R&B artist Jessica Domingo started the night, stepping onstage with pastels and bandmates soundsbyab and D’andre. She performed her brand-new release with pastels, “Sugar Lychee,” which had dropped that very morning. Jessica’s vocals were stunning, her presence was magnetic, and her energy brought a refreshing dose of powerful feminine artistry to the lineup. It was such an incredible way to kick off the night.

GEMINI took the stage next, performing fan favourites like; “Love Is Banned,” and “Rollercoaster” from his 2022 EP, *Still Blue.* He also surprised the crowd with a performance of an unreleased track from his upcoming project.

This was our third time seeing GEMINI live, and each time he shines even brighter. His confidence, stage presence, and the stunning visuals made this set one of our favourites yet.

Yuki Chiba was up next and brought an incredible burst of energy to the stage. Even though we weren’t familiar with his songs, he was amazing to experience live. He had the entire pit dancing and jumping. His performance brought a completely different vibe from the rest of the lineup, in the best way.

Dabin (formerly known as DPR Live) took the stage with a set showcasing all his newest releases under the Dabin name. We loved his performance from his stage presence, to his style, to his overall sound. He carried himself with so much confidence and kept the energy high, running from one side of the stage to the other and interacting with the crowd throughout.

Dabin was an artist we’d been wanting to see for a long time, and we’re so grateful we finally got the chance.

This was our second time seeing pH-1 live, and his performance was even better than before. His energy was electric, and he was an absolute joy to photograph. Plus, the visuals on screen added so much to the experience.

A massive thank you to Kohai for giving us the opportunity to cover this event.
