Welcome back to our B-Side Rituals Spotlight series!

This month, we’re highlighting Los Angeles-based Nigerian-American singer, songwriter, model, and visual artist Annahstasia. She is known for her soulful folk sound, as well as her appearance as Kendrick Lamar’s love interest in the music video for “Luther.” She made her debut on February 15, 2022, with the release of her single “Midas.”

Since then, Annahstasia has gained over 126,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. She has also performed on A COLORS SHOW, where she showcased her single “Power” in 2022, and most recently appeared on NPR for Tiny Desk Concert series in May.

She released her debut EP, Revival, on April 27, 2023, and has continued to consistently release music ever since. On November 1, 2024, she released “Sunday,” which has become her most popular track, surpassing 4 million streams on Spotify.

On June 13, 2025, Annahstasia released her debut album, Tether. We discovered her music at the end of July thanks to a friend and immediately fell in love with her soulful vocals and folk-inspired sound. She brings such a refreshing and distinctive style to today’s music landscape, and we’re excited to watch her continue to grow as an artist.
