Welcome back to our B-Side Rituals Spotlight series!
This month, we’re highlighting a songwriter we recently discovered: Kirsten Allyssa Spencer, also known as A.Chic.
A.Chic is a South Florida–based rapper, artist, and songwriter who recently contributed to five tracks on BTS’ album Arirang. She co-wrote “Body to Body,” “Hooligan,” “NORMAL,” “SWIM,” and “Like Animals,” and has also worked with artists such as Lizzo, Jennie, and Saweetie.
We first came across her in the Netflix documentary BTS: The Return, where her writing style stood out to us. Her collaborative energy, and especially her dynamic with RMvfelt natural, effortless, and genuinely inspiring.
Beyond her songwriting credits, A.Chic is also carving out her own path as an artist. She made her debut on November 25, 2025, with the single “1-900 Santa.” She also appears on VisionPlay’s album The VZN SZN, Vol. 1, featuring on the tracks “Said Enough” and “And When The Sky Was Opened…,” released November 7, 2025.
From her work with BTS to her solo releases, we’re truly drawn to A.Chic’s artistry and perspective, and we’re excited to follow her journey moving forward.
